Seminario di Analisi Matematica
This is a survey of old and new necessary and sufficient conditions for validity of various integral
inequalities containing arbitrary weights (measures and distributions). These results have direct
applications to the spectral theory of elliptic partial differential operators.

Seminario di Equazioni Differenziali
We discuss singular solutions to fully nonlinear elliptic equations and their remarkable connections
with minimal cones.
Ore 15:00, Aula di Consiglio
Seminario di Modellistica differenziale numerica
I will start with brief introduction to the concept of metric regularity and some applications for
optimal control problems. Then we focus on linear control systems, where we introduce the notion of
bi-metric Hoelder regularity. Some theoretical results will be presented, followed by applications
for discretization on optimal control problems for linear systems.

Paolo Buttà e Silvia Noschese (Roma La Sapienza) e Manuela Manetta (L'Aquila).

Seminario di Algebra e Geometria
For a simple complex Lie algebra g we study the space of invariants A=(bigwedge g* otimes g*)^g
(which describes the isotypical component of type g in bigwedge g*) as a module over the algebra of
invariants (bigwedge g*)^g. As main result we prove that A is a free module, of rank twice the rank
of g, over the exterior algebra generated by all primitive invariants in (bigwedge g*)^g, with the
exception of the one of highest degree. Joint with P. Papi and C. Procesi.

Colloquium Levi-Civita
QCD in the Veneziano limit, Nc- > oo, Nf- > oo, with x=Nf/Nc fixed, has been conjectured to have an
interesting phase diagram, including a conformal window, a real QCD-like phase and a conformal
transition separating the two. We will describe recent efforts to construct holographic theories
with behavior that is similar to QCD. At zero temperature we will establish the nature of the
conformal phase transition, BKT scaling in the "walking region", and Efimov vacua. At finite
temperature we will determine and explore the structure of the phase diagram as a function of x. We
will also study finite temperature and finite density, and we will find an expected phase diagram
and a surprise Sponsored by the European Research Council by the Advanced Grant 227458 OACFT

Seminario P(n): Problemi differenziali non lineari
We review some recent results concerning a class of nonlinear elliptic equations of the "mean
field" type containing a probability measure, motivated by the statistical mehcanics description of
2D turbulence. In particular, we consider the blow-up of solution sequences and the related
Trudimnger-Moser type inequalities.
