In this talk we'll show how one can use the collapsing sandpile model, introduced by Evans, Feldman and Gariepy, in order to compute the stable profile of a sandpile from an unstable one. Indeed, we transform the problem into a continuation of projection on emboites closed convex sets. Then we develop a numerical method to compute these projections and apply it to solve the problem of the collapsing sandpile.
