I will first give two (similar) ways for proving the existence of a weak solution for the compressible (stationary) stokes problem : passing to the limit using (in particular) a viscous approximation of the mass conservation or passing to the limit using a convenient numerical scheme. I will also briefly show how to use this method for the compressible Navier-Stokes eqautions and how to extend the method for the evolution problem.
