While the transport of scalar quantities by turbulent fields generates dissipation, rigorous results concerning the emergence of viscous terms through transport noise have been developed over the past decade. The vector-valued case introduces an additional feature: the stretching effect, which makes the analysis substantially richer than in the scalar setting. More recent results incorporating transport-stretching noise have been established, with applications to models of polymers and magnetic fields. In this talk, I will present some contributions to the study of scaling limits and transport-stretching noise. The talk is based on joint work with Franco Flandoli, Federico Butori and Eliseo Luongo.
The activities mentioned herein were performed in the framework of the project: EU-HORIZON EUROPE ERC-2021-ADG “Noise in Fluids” (NoisyFluid), no. 101053472.
