We will introduce quiver representations and quiver Grassmannians, focusing on the fact that "quiver Grassmannians can be anything" - that is, every projective variety is a quiver Grassmannian. The goal of this seminar is to discuss a few existing applications and examples of the study of quiver Grassmannians, in particular their applications tto linear degenerations of flag varieties and of Schubert varieties, highlighting how these projective varieties are related to the underlying quiver representation theory.
