In this talk, I will discuss qualitative properties of solutions to the Lane–Emden equation, with particular emphasis on the uniqueness of radial solutions in annular domains for a fully nonlinear version of the problem. The proof is based on the analysis of the associated shooting problem and on the study of the sign of suitable energy-type functionals.
