ANNULLATO In the talk I present some recent results concerning the existence and regularity of traveling waves for degenerate parabolic equations, i.e., with possibly vanishing diffusivities. Also the case of saturated diffusivities is taken into account. This study is motivated by some models of collective movements (vehicular traffic flows or crowds dynamics) and of digital treatment of images. In some cases the diffusivity can be negative.
