Usually, least action principles lead to hamiltonian, conservative and time reversible solutions in which no dissipation effect can be input. We show, through some examples related to ODEs or PDEs in astrophysics, how sticky collisions and mass concentrations, for example, can be handled by a suitable modification of the action functional on a very small set of the functional space.
