We consider the Ginzburg-Landau system with an applied magnetic field for small two-dimensional domains. For small bounded, smooth and simply connected domains, we study uniqueness up to a gauge of superconducting solutions, and type I behavior for any value of the Ginzburg-Landau parameter.
