In topology, the classical notions of equality and isomorphism are frequently replaced by weaker, yet highly efficient, equivalence relations (e.g. homotopy equivalence). Within this framework, it is possible to develop a consistent mathematical theory. This seminar aims to explore the behavior of algebraic structures when translated into this "homotopy context." Specifically, we will analyze the case of monoids.
