Baouendi-Grushin operators are important classes of degenerate elliptic operators which are strongly connected with other domains of mathematics such as subriemannian geometry. Parabolic problems associated with such operators possess very interesting properties from the point of view of controllability, with different kinds of behaviour depending on parameters. These properties will bediscussed in this seminar, as well as an inverse source problem for such operators.
