The fluctuations of Birkhoff averages for strongly chaotic systems are well known to satisfy a Central Limit Theorem. However, many systems of interest are non-autonomous, prompting the question of how such fluctuations behave in time-dependent dynamical systems—or, equivalently, in non-homogeneous Markov chains. I will present a general method to precisely study these fluctuations across a broad class of systems.
