On a weak coherence theorem and Levi problem (Oka VI, IX)
I will begin with some simplifications of the proofs of Oka-Cartan theory after
my last lecture at Tor Vergata. Then I will discuss more simplification in Oka's
coherence by formulateing a 'weak coherence theorem', which can be proved
simply by power series expansions, which goes up to Cousin I, II and Levi problems.
I would like also to discuss some historical developements of the solution of
Levi problem.

Homotopical algebra is not concrete
We generalize Freyd's well-known result that 'homotopy is not concrete'
offering a general method to show that under certain assumptions on a
model category M its homotopy category ho(M) cannot be concrete with
respect to the universe where M is assumed to be locally small.
This result is part of an attempt to understand more deeply the relation
between (some parts of) set theory and (some parts of) abstract homotopy
theory.

The reset time of Internal DLA
Consider Internal DLA on cylinder graphs of the form GxZ. How does a
large cluster typically look like? How long does it take for the process
to forget its initial profile? In this talk I will address these questions,
explaining how the answer depends on the mixing properties of the base
graph G. Joint work with Lionel Levine.
