Regularity results for integro-differential equations with
coercive Hamiltonians
I will present some Holder and Lipschitz regularity results
for nonlinear integro-differential elliptic and parabolic equations
with coercive Hamiltonians. These estimates are obtained
by using the Capuzzo Dolcetta-Leoni-Porretta (2010) approach for Holder
estimates and the weak Bernstein method for Lipschitz estimates.
Some applications to large time behavior of the evolution problem
will be discussed.
This is a joint work with Guy Barles (Tours), Shigeaki Koike (Tohoku)
and Erwin Topp (Santiago).

Log Birational boundedness of Calabi-Yau pairs
I will discuss an ongoing joint work with Roberto Svaldi on
boundedness of Calabi-Yau pairs. Recent works in the minimal model
program suggest that pairs with trivial log canonical class should
satisfy some boundedness properties. I will show that Calabi-Yau pairs
which are not birational to a product are indeed log birationally
bounded, if the dimension is less than 4. In higher dimensions, the
same statement can be deduced assuming the BAB conjecture. If time
permits, I will discuss applications of this result to elliptically
fibered Calabi-Yau manifolds.

Boundary quotients of right LCM semigroups
In recent work by Brownlowe-Ramagge-Robertson-Whittaker, a boundary quotient was
introduced for right LCM semigroups. I will discuss how to improve its presentation for
semigroups with the so-called accurate refinement property. This allows us to identify the
boundary quotient with a familiar C*-algebra for many important examples.
In particular, we get intriguing structural results for boundary quotients associated to
integral dynamics, and injective group endomorphisms of discrete (abelian) groups
(with finite cokernel).

Geometric invariant theory in products and applications
Let G be a reductive affine algebraic group over an algebraically
closed field and V and W finite dimensional G-modules. These data
induce a G-action on IP(V)xIP(W) and, for any pair (m,n) of positive
integers, a linearization of this action in the very ample line bundle
O(m,n). When the ratio n/m becomes sufficiently large, the GIT notion
of (semi) stability with respect to the linearization in O(m,n)
becomes independent of (m,n) and has a nice description. This
elementary fact plays an important role in understanding semistability
for decorated sheaves, e.g., quiver sheaves.
We will firstly review these facts and give, as an application, a
proof of the recent Hilbert-Mumford criterion of Gulbrandsen, Halle
and Hulek in relative GIT when the base is of finite type.Secondly, we
will explain a related result on the instability flag and review how
this is applied to moduli problems.

Maroni Divisors on Hurwitz Spaces
The moduli spaces H_{d,g} of covers of genus g and degree d of the
projective line are known as Hurwitz spaces. We will discuss the
Maroni stratification on such Hurwitz spaces. This stratification has
a stratum that is a divisor only if d-1 divides g and we will
approximate the class of this divisor in the compactified Hurwitz
space.
We will also construct an analogue of the above divisors on the
Hurwitz spaces H_{d,g} for all pairs (d,g) with d less or equal than
g, with a few exceptions.
This is joint work with Gerard van der Geer.
