We give a survey on recent results on control Lyapunov functions and their representations as (sub-/super-) solutions of suitable PDEs. In particular we will discuss the relation between regularity of these PDE solutions and corresponding properties of the underlying stabilization problem (finite dimensional) stabilization problems.
