In order to understand self-organized aggregation of German cockroaches which possess aggregation pheromone, we propose an individual-based model where each individual with social interaction moves by two-mode simple symmetric random walk, depending on the pheromone concentration. From this microscopic model, we derive a macroscopic PDE model which includes cross-diffusion effect, by using the singular limit and the hydrodynamic limit procedures.
