My name is Daniele A. Gewurz, and I do research in Mathematics, and some
teaching, at the University of Rome "La Sapienza".
At the moment, from this page you can read:
- some of my mathematical writings (for the published papers, see the
CV):
- the text of my graduation thesis, "Gruppi di
Coxeter e loro generalizzazioni" ("Coxeter groups and their
generalisations") [in italian];
- the text of my PhD thesis: "About Parker vectors
and related topics" (in English, preliminary version, PDF file); "Sui vettori di Parker e concetti correlati" (in
Italian, final version, PDF file);
- some lecture notes about
CoCoA, a programme for COmputations in COmmutative Algebra (in
Italian, PDF file, soon online);
- elementary lecture notes about finite fields
(in Italian, PDF file, soon online);
- some small experiments in programming, mostly
born as self-assigned exercises while teaching myself various languages
and programs;
- my academic curriculum, just in
order to have a hint about what I have spent time on up to now (supposing
anyone would care) (in Italian, PDF file);
- some lines, in Italian, about the question, about which in Italy there
is quite a debate, whether the Italian plural of
"euro" should be "euri" or "euro";
- some links about mathematics (mainly) and
philosophy;
-
I used to maintain a list of favourite non-mathematical links,
but I am having doubts about the usefulness of generic link lists. Now the
nearest thing is this page about websites I
contributed to or that
mention me.
To whom it may concern: I also keep a small blog, L'Accademia de' Pignuoli (in
Italian), mostly devoted to linguistic nit-picking and diverse trivia.
